The Cyberspace Open is our unique writing tournament. Contestants are given a scene prompt and a tight deadline to write their own best interpretation of that scene. Previous winners have gone on to fame and fortune (just ask 2004 winner Bob "Killers" DeRosa.) This year the winning scene will receive $3,000 cash and exposure perhaps worth far more.
Please watch the three scenes and then vote for first, second and third -- but keep in mind that how closely each scene adhered to the prompt should be part of your criteria.

by his CONFIDANT -- someone deep within his (or her) inner circle. This
betrayal threatens to destroy everything the protagonist has been
working towards. The protagonist's only ace in the hole: the confidant
is not yet aware he's been found out. Write a crackling scene in which
